SPORT
PLAY. INCLUDE. EMPOWER.
Sport can be much more than a competition. It can become a space for participation, autonomy, relationships, and social change. 7HUB develops educational methodologies and gamification tools applied to sport, with a particular focus on access and participation for those who face greater barriers to sport. Our work focuses specifically on women and girls, young people with fewer opportunities, people with disabilities, migrants, and people from socially or economically vulnerable backgrounds. We collaborate with sports organizations, associations, educational institutions, and third-sector entities to use sport as a tool for community inclusion and development.
OUR AREAS OF WORK
SPORT AND INCLUSION
We design activities that use sport to foster participation, socialization, empowerment, and a sense of belonging. The goal is to help reduce the economic, social, cultural, and gender barriers that can limit access to sport, creating pathways that reach even those traditionally underrepresented in sporting environments.
WOMEN & GIRLS IN SPORT
We promote broader participation of women and girls in sport. Through non-formal education, awareness-raising activities, and participatory methodologies, we address the main obstacles to female participation: gender stereotypes, lack of representation, accessibility of sporting environments, and leadership opportunities. Sport thus also becomes a space in which to strengthen confidence, autonomy, skills, and leadership abilities.
GAMIFICATION FOR SPORT
7HUB applies its experience in gamification to the construction of more accessible, engaging, and inclusive sporting pathways. We use elements such as missions, challenges, badges, storytelling, progression systems, and individual and collective goals to support people on their journey to and participation in sport. Gamification isn't about tactics or sporting results: it's used as an educational and motivational tool.
It can serve, for example, to:
facilitate initial access to sports;
increase motivation and continued participation;
enhance individual progress;
develop personal and social skills;
counter stereotypes and discrimination;
assist clubs and organizations toward more inclusive practices.
